Are we too young?

Submitted by amy.huhtala on

This has been a debate for years, not only in schools but also in religion. A lot of religions like you to be older before you start kissing, holding hands, hugging, etc. Well does that mean that we can’t like people? No it does not. In this case there is nothing wrong with liking someone, as long as you do not take it too far,There is a fine line between having a crush and having a boy/girlfriend.

How does social media affect lives?

Submitted by amy.huhtala on
Dr. Henry Hales explains how social media affects others, “Social media connects people the world over to one another. The problem is that not everyone knows how to disconnect. With constant streams of tweets, status updates and comments to sift through and respond to, social media can create a never-ending and sometimes negative feedback loop.but this can be very harmful to the brain.Teenagers especially can feel a sense of pressure to stay active online.

Underwater Robotics Competes

Submitted by amy.huhtala on

Our school, Salem Jr, has many extra-curricular activities that it supports: track, musicals, 4-H. One of these activities that has largely gone unnoticed, is the Underwater Robotics 4-H club. Underwater Robotics is an engineering class that teaches participants about engineering and unmanned robots. Students learn how to create a remotely-controlled robot that functions underwater, and go on to actually make one. This class is taught by Mr. Boyer and Mrs. Roberts, along with volunteer assistants from BYU.

An "Undertale" Review

Submitted by amy.huhtala on

UNDERTALE is a RPG-type pixel adventure game. Created by Toby Fox, the game was inspired from the Mother series, a similar RPG. The game’s story is huge and emotional, when I played it, my eyes watered up. The beginning storyline is the two races, Humans and Monsters, lived in peace, until a war broke out. The Humans won, and sealed the Monsters behind a doorway called “The Barrier”. Years later, a young child climbed the mountain the monsters were under, and fell through a hole into the Underground. That’s where the story starts.

Also To promote the beauty and versatility of wool fabrics and yarns’.

See the Good

Submitted by amy.huhtala on

It is super important to have a good perspective on things.  Having a good perspective on things is really simple. It is up to you to chose to have a good perspective and it will also determine your attitude on things. We have a really good school at Salem Junior High but it I think we are lacking in having a good perspective on things.
