Alece Tomadakis is the librarian at Salem Jr High. One of her favorite things is a zipline at their family cabin that is 330 feet long. When Mrs. Tomadakis was in junior high, her dad was the principal at her school, and she liked to go to his office for a treat.

Christina Stewart is a technician at Salem Jr High. When she was in junior high, she liked to wear a jumpsuit with a big fabric belt and pegged pants (similar to what we call joggers today).  Some of Ms. Stewart's favorite things are ice cream, apple pie and peanut butter Twix.

Sam McGrath teaches English at Salem Jr High. He failed metal shop in 8th grade because he didn't turn any of the projects in even though he completed them.  When he was in school, pants were so baggy you could fit your textbook in your back pocket.  Some of Mr. McGrath's favorite things are the color blue, pasta, Dr. Pepper, and the movie Shogun.

Holly Lutz teaches math at Salem Jr High. When she was in junior high, silly bands were really popular.  Her favorite show is Parks and Rec.  Ms. Lutz's favorite singer is Taylor Swift.  Other favorite things include Thai food, boba smoothies, and mountain biking,

Susanna Brunson teaches PE and body conditioning at Salem Jr High. She was a die-hard BYU football fan during junior high and collected autographs from many of the team members the year BYU won the National Championship.  Mrs. Brunson likes Italian food, tulips, the color red, and the number 14.

Spring Captains Academy

Youth athletic leaders from secondary schools in Nebo School District gathered for Captains’ Academy this week. This program is a powerful venue for students in leadership positions to increase communication and friendship among student athletes. Students are provided the opportunity to meet with their peers who are leaders in the same activities, discuss and plan how to lift others and encourage sportsmanship and leadership, and collaborate with one another to address shared challenges.

SaJHS Talent Show: Get ready for the Salem Junior High School Talent show! We are excited to have students audition and show off their skills. Starting March 21st until April 15th we will have sheets in the office to sign up for an audition slot! Your talent should not exceed 8 minutes (unless it's yodeling, then the sky's the limit). Callbacks will be later in the month of April and the talent show will have a rehearsal on the 12th of May. The actual talent show will be on the 13th of May. We cannot guarantee everyone a slot in the talent show.
