Both boys and girls track and field teams won 1st place at the District Championship last Friday. Here are the results:
In the boys 100 meter hurdles Austin DeGraw again broke his own school record placing 3rd, Chandler Balser placed 8th. The Distance Medley Relay consisting of Jackson O'Hara, Jordon Spencer, Keifer Rasmussen, and Austin Degraw won first place by 7 seconds. The top two placers in the 100m dash were from Salem, Garrett Lloyd broke the school record running a 11.59, and Jaxon Albrecht got 2nd. Garrett Lloyd broke another school record in the 200 meter dash on his way to 1st place. Dylan McEwan got 4th and Quade Bunker 7th in the event. 3 athletes placed in the 1600 meter run, Jackson O'Hara got 3rd, Ty Bailey 4th, and Colter Smith 8th. In the 400 meter sprint Dylan McEwan got 3rd and Jordon Spencer 5th. Dylan ran the 2nd fastest time in school history. Members of the 4x100 meter relay Dylan McEwan, Keifer Rasmussen, Chandler Balser, and Austin DeGraw earned 3rd place honors. In the 800 meter run Jackson O'Hara and Ty Bailey again got 3rd and 4th with Colter Smith getting 6th. Boys 4x400 meter relay consisting of Dylan McEwan, Keifer Rasmussen, Carson Peterson and Jordon Spencer broke 4 minutes and got 3rd place. Boys swept shot put 1st-4th place, Devan Call got 1st, Jayden Barnum 2nd, Ryan Wilding 3rd, Doug Julian 4th, and Corbin Chirstensen 7th. In Boy's Discus Garrett Lloyd placed 1st, Jayden Barnum 2nd, Doug Julian 3rd and Preston Stone 7th. In High jump Jaxon Albrecht got 1st, Carson Peterson 2nd and Max Wallentine 5th. In long jump Quade Bunker got 2nd, Jaxon Albrecht 3rd, and Garrett Lloyd 4th. We are very proud of the many personal records set by the boys track team at districts.
