Last week, the drama 1 performed plays in front of an audience of friends and family. They worked hard on these performances and did a great job. Our drama department always does a great job.

The pictures above are from the B2 evening performance of The Polka-dot Thief.

Look forward to a play coming in the spring. They will be performing Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Heart of a Spartan

Submitted by sam.mcgrath on

Although Thanksgiving is over, we are still encouraging students here at the junior high to focus on the positive. Every Monday morning we set apart time for what we call Heart of a Spartan. This is an exercise that asks students to focus more on positive aspects in their lives and less on the negative. We are hoping to train their brains to be more optimistic and more grateful.

Honoring Veterans

Submitted by sam.mcgrath on

In honor of Veteran's Day last week, our school sponsored a fundraiser for Utah's Honor Flight. The goal of the fundraiser was to raise $1000 in order to fund a trip for a veteran to go to Washington D.C. to see the war memorials that have been erected in their honor. This is one small thing that we felt we could do to honor the service that veterans have done for our country.
