School Lunch Menu: Here is the link to our lunch menu. Take a look to see what deliciousness is being served up at our school. Thank you students for being patient, following the rules in the lunchroom, and cleaning up after yourselves! It helps our lunch ladies and custodians out.
Brady Magoffin is an ESL technician at Salem Jr High. He attended Salem Jr. High as a student. When he was in high school, Mr. Magoffin hated Spanish class, but now he loves Spanish and uses it every day. He also loves lacrosse, ice skating, the movie Peanut Butter Falcon and eating at Sushi Burrito.
Next year students will need to start paying for school lunch and breakfast again. Lunches will continue to be free for the remainder of this 21/22 school year; however, the lunch department wants to ease into it this year so students know the system before next year. Beginning Friday, April 22 students will need to either scan, with the barcode on their student ID, or enter their lunch numbers. Each student was issued a student ID at the beginning of the school year. If they transferred to Salem Jr after that time, they also received a student ID.
Sara Barber is a special education teacher at Salem Jr High. She had Mr. Moser as her science teacher in 7th grade. Her favorite picture book is We Don't Eat our Classmates, and her favorite book is Summers at Castle Auburn. Mrs. Barber also likes Lindt milk chocolate, the color purple, roses, reading time with her family, and walking the dog.
Lunch Numbers Will Be Required Again: Starting on April 22, all students at Salem Junior High will be required to enter their lunch numbers (student ID numbers) into the computer before getting their lunches and breakfasts for the remainder of the school year. The student ID number is used currently when students check out books from the library and when they log in to Chromebooks.
