President's Day is a Federal Holiday in which we honor George Washington and Abraham Lincoln's birthdays. This holiday is celebrated on the third Monday of every February. The school will be closed on Monday, February 19th to honor both past and present United States presidents. 

Salem Junior High School had 16 students compete, place, and qualify for State. The purpose of  FCCLA is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family members, wage earners, and community leaders, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation. Good luck at State in March!

Congratulations to Makayala Carrick, Shelby Christensen, and Ruby Lindstrom who wrestle for the Salem Hills High School Girls' Wrestling Team. They all participated in the UHSAA Divisional Tournament last week. Makayla and Ruby qualified and will wrestle at the State Girls Wrestling Tournament next week! Good luck at State!
