Foundation Check Presentation

The Nebo Education Foundation meets each month at 7:00 a.m. to discuss submitted educational grant proposals for students in Nebo School District. One of the goals of the foundation is to fund worthwhile projects in the district that provide resources to enrich student learning.

Stacy Nance, past president of the Nebo Education Foundation, said, “It is a pleasure to receive the grant applications and see how remarkable and creative the Nebo District teachers are. The Nebo Education Foundation facilitates these grant monies to help teachers realize their ideas and the students’ potential. As a foundation, we get to see a glimpse at how well our teachers are instructing our students. Our teachers are truly talented and utilize every penny. They do such a great job!”

Congratulations to two of our teachers that continue to inspire the minds of students.

Bill Wright: “Thank you Nebo Foundation for supporting the fine arts at Salem Junior High! This grant will help us have a full classroom set of iPads which will give all the students who come through my classroom the opportunity to not only have equal access to the same technology to turn in and document their artistic journeys but will also allow them the opportunity to learn how to use the digital tools that are being used in the current professional art world. Again, thank you for your aid in helping us purchase this invaluable classroom tool.”

Sara Barber: “Thanks so much for this grant! Many of my students have ADHD or other issues that make it difficult for them to focus. These wobble stools will help them focus and increase their learning. The stools will increase the flexible seating options in the resource classrooms at Salem Junior High. They will help the classroom environment be more welcoming and help students more fully engage in learning. I am excited to add these to my classroom! Thanks again for your generosity and support!”
