On Friday, March 6th the Salem Jr. High concert band and advanced percussion visited the University of Utah for the Western Regional Concert Band Festival. At the festival, students received clinics from the University of Utah faculty, performed on stage at Libby Gardner Concert Hall and were taught by renowned band teacher, Peter Boonshaft. Students received recognition for a superior performance at the festival and were one of only 4 junior high bands to perform at the festival. Congrats to the Salem Jr. High band!
