Student Chromebooks Charged and Ready: Students need to bring their chromebooks to class charged each day. While teachers have a few for students to use, they are running out of them quickly when several students either forgot their chromebook at home or their chromebook is not charged. We don't want students to fall behind because they don't have their chromebook. If your student has lost their charger they are available to purchase from Mrs. Teucher.

Congrats to our Boys and Girls Basketball Teams: It was a different season with a small number of fans and no student section. We are proud of how awesome both our Girls and Boys teams played. They made it to the semifinals on Friday night. Congratulate them when you see them!

9th Grade Registration: It's time to start the registration process for the 2021-22 school year.  This week we began registering future 9th grade students during their math class.  Parents and students will be doing registration online through I-Campus so ask your student for the paperwork and instructions this week.

Valentines Day Deliveries: Valentine's Day is coming up and I know that we are all excited for the day dedicated to love. Thank you for your support in this.

If you're eligible, the cost for you is FREE ninety free! English sessions are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 6:30-8pm. A Spanish session is on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8pm. Building Body Image Resilience

Submitted by neely.mcewan on Mon, 02/08/2021 - 07:33

The Utah Women & Leadership Project is hosting an online workshop for young women titled “More Than a Body: Building Body Image Resilience.” The workshop will be held on Thursday, February 25 from 6:00pm-7:15pm.

The content in this workshop is critical for girls/young women and anyone who influences them (students, counselors, teachers, administrators, parents, etc.). Body image struggles impact nearly all girls/women in today’s world! Our beauty-obsessed world perpetuates the idea that happiness, health, and the ability to be loved are dependent on how we look, but Lindsay and Lexie Kite—PhDs, founders of the nonprofit Beauty Redefined, and authors of the new book More Than a Body— offer an alternative vision. Lindsay and Lexie share powerful and practical advice that goes beyond “body positivity” to help develop body image resilience. In the process, they show how facing your feelings of body shame or embarrassment can become a catalyst for personal growth.

The registration link for the workshop can be found here.
