Submitted by neely.mcewan on

Salem Jr High Spring Athletes had the opportunity to participate in the Spring Sport Captain's Academy at the school district offices. They were able to learn lessons about leadership and sportsmanship from leaders in our school district.  They had the opportunity to work together with athletes from schools in the district and get to know them.  Congratulations to: Whitney Shutt (Girls Track), Nathan Call (Boys Track), and Gideon Wallace (Boys Tennis). Thank you for representing Salem Jr High School and your teams!!

Spanish Fork High School Incident--All Clear

Submitted by keith.richards on

All students and faculty at Spanish Fork High are safe.  This was a false report of an active shooter at Spanish Fork High.  Police responded quickly and lock down protocol was immediately put into place.  Police swept the building and have deemed it safe.
As a result your school was either on lockdown or lockout for a short period of time.

We appreciate the quick reaction of our local law enforcement and administration.

Career Day Today: This morning we are excited to have career day activities during 1-4th periods. We will have 33 professionals from the community in our school telling students about their careers. If you need to check your child out between 8 and 11 this morning please allow for extra time as they will not be following their regular schedule. When your student comes home from school today ask them what exciting careers they learned about.

End of Level Testing is Around the Corner: End of level testing is coming up. Please help your student be ready to do their best by getting good sleep and being prepared each day. It is important that they remember to bring their chromebooks fully charged each day. The 8th grade RISE Writing test begins next week 3/27-3/31. Encourage your students to do their best on the end of level testing. It helps them know how much they've learned and helps teachers improve their practices and instruction.
