Winter Captain's Academy

Submitted by neely.mcewan on

Youth athletic leaders from secondary schools in Nebo School District gathered for Captains’ Academy today. This program is a powerful venue for students in leadership positions to increase communication and friendship among student athletes. Students are provided the opportunity to meet with their peers who are leaders in the same activities, discuss and plan how to lift others and encourage sportsmanship and leadership, and collaborate with one another to address shared challenges.

Thanksgiving Break is Here! It's thanksgiving and I know I speak for everyone when I say that we're all grateful for a break from our daily routines! To be fair, I am also grateful that my daily routine is working at Salem Jr High School. When people find out I work in a Jr High, they often make a sound that sounds kind of like "ugh".
