The Olympics come to SaJHS
Mrs. Van De Graaff's ninth graders have been studying Ancient Greek and Roman history for the past month. As part of their study on Greece's Olympic Games students participated in their own events including foot races, discus, shot put, strength tests and many more.
Attack of the Clones Movie Review
It is 1 week and 5 days till Star Wars: The Force Awakens and this week we’re talking Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. This is the 5th movie made in the saga in the world’s timeline, but it is the 2nd in the Star Wars timeline. Since this is an opinion article, I going to totally slam this movie, so stop reading now if you love it.
Christmas Traditions Across Salem
Christmas time is a very bright time of year! A lot of people throughout Salem, and the world, celebrate this holiday. Christmas started a very long time ago and it is always on December 25th. This year, the 25th of December is on a Friday.
SaJHS students celebrate Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated all throughout the United States and Canada. Thanksgiving started in modern day Plymouth, Massachusetts, 1623 when the Native Americans helped out the English for their celebration. It soon turned into a big feast between the two groups, which was soon to be called Thanksgiving. We now celebrate this holiday to give thanks for “general blessings”. This year, Thanksgiving is on November 26th, and people all across Salem will be celebrating it.
Art students hard at work designing sets
The Set Design Club has been hard at work painting the sets for the school musical,Alice in Wonderland. The musical will be performed February 3-6, 2016. You won't want to miss it!
