Counseling Spotlight- Mrs. Seegmiller

Mrs. Seegmiller is the seventh grade counselor.  She has taught for twelve years and likes her job because she gets to watch and help students succeed.  She also says that she loves her job because being around students Salem Junior High makes her feel young again.  Her favorite sport is volleyball and likes spending her free time going on walks, and hikes. She also likes spending time with her new baby and other close family members.

Counseling Spotlight - Mrs. McEwen

Mrs. McEwan is the Counseling secretary and has worked in this position for three years.  Her favorite part about her job is working with the students and parents.  Her favorite thing about the students at this school is that they are always respectful to the teachers and others around them.  Her favorite animal is a horse and one of her favorite foods is cheesecake.  She likes to watch football, baseball, and basketball with her family.

Counseling Spotlight- Mrs. Halcrow

Mrs. Halcrow is the eighth grade counselor here at Salem Junior High.  She chose this job as a counselor because she loves learning about others.  Before working at Salem Junior High Mrs. Halcrow taught at Mapleton Jr. High for two years.  Her favorite thing about the students at Salem Junior High is their energy and excitement.  This is her third year as a counselor and her favorite season is fall.  Her favorite kind of food is mexican and she likes to go camping with her family.

Counselor Spotlight- Mrs. Johnson

Mrs. Johnson is a ninth grade student counselor and this is her first year working in this position.  Before coming to Salem Junior High, Mrs. Johnson worked at three different schools.  They were Payson Junior High, Barnett Elementary, and Reese Elementary.  She loves how the students here at Salem Junior High are always nice and friendly.  How Mrs. Johnson likes to spend her free time is just with her family at the dinner table and watching movies.

4 H After school Activities

Some of the teachers at our school do fun activities after school. You meet in their classroom right after school. The room numbers are on the flyer in the office. How to get into 4 H afterschool? You have to pay 10$ in the office.

Students enjoy Olympic Time

Today was the first day of the term in which students were involved in Olympic Time. Students with A's, B's, and C's were eligible to go to enrichment activities, while students needing intervention could get more targeted help from their teachers. Students in Classroom 117 enjoyed the game room.

Welcome Back to School

Welcome back all Salem Junior High students! After a long and hot summer break, it is now time to return back to your school schedule! We welcome all of the 368 seventh graders who entered SAJHS this year and say goodbye to the 320 ninth graders who left our school to become very successful tenth graders. We are very excited for this school year, especially with our many new teacher. All of the teachers have many fascinating and exciting plans to keep out students involved in learning.
