Mr. Knudsen, Mr. Stolworthy, and everyone else here at Salem Junior High would like to thank John Humphries for his Eagle project as a Boy Scout. John held an instrument drive and was able to donate instruments to our school to be loaned to students who want to learn to play an instrument, but perhaps cannot afford to buy their own. The work was successful and greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.

Here are the results of that instrument drive reported by Teona Humphries:

"John held a musical instrument drive for Salem Jr. High. These instruments will be for kids who want to play but can't afford an instrument. John collected instruments and money donations for over a month. We are excited to report Tuesday he donated 19 instruments (7 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello, 2 trombones, 2 trumpets, 3 clarinets, 2 flutes, and 1 guitar) and $110 to the Salem Jr High School Music program.  We attached a few photos. The trumpet pictured below was a special donation worth noting. This is Quinton Muir's trumpet. He loved this trumpet and his family felt like he would want another who loved playing to have it. The other trumpet donated was from one of your own, Melissa Page. We are so grateful for everyone's generous donations and support." Congratulations John on a successful project, and thank you. #sajshspartanstrong #nebohero
