Here is the next edition of the Spartan Chronicle. Students in the journalism class worked hard on this and hope you enjoy it.
Christmas break starts tomorrow, Dec. 21 which is a half day, so don't forget to pick your kids up at 11:15. It will go through the 1st of January. We hope you all have a great break and try not to break anything. We all hope that you have an amazing Christmas. We all hope you get tons of gifts or give tons of gifts. If you are going out of town have a safe trip and if not, then still be safe
In PE This year we have done a lot of fun and challenging things. Yet we have had so much fun. In the beginning of PE, we did land paddling it was so fun. Land paddling is where you have a paddle board then you have a paddle that looks like a real paddle but had a rubber end to it that helped you stop. It was ultimately fun.
After we did volleyball. The hard part in volleyball was that a lot of us couldn’t get it above the net, but it was still very fun to play.
Another term has rolled around since our last concert, which means we have another concert coming soon (December 14th, at 7:00 P.M. to be specific). The Christmas concerts are always very exciting, and our choirs have been working very hard to make sure we have a memorable time for both the students and the audience. Along with the concert, last Friday the advanced choirs (Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Bella Voce) performed at both the Provo and Orem malls. This is always one of the choir highlights of the year and always stirs up excitement.
In 8th grade FACS, we made bags and they have turned out amazing. Making that bags was so fun and pretty easy. Now we are working on making pj pants or shorts. FACS class has helped me learn how to be a better sewer. After the pj’s we are going to be making dirty clothes bags. They hold your clothes so that you don’t have to. All of us get along so well which makes facts ever more fun. In the past, we made finger pin cushions and for Halloween, we made pumpkin pincushions. One thing I like about FACS is that we are never not working on something. Thanks, Mrs.
If you want a yearbook, you have to get one by the end of December. There might be some extra but for a guaranteed one you have to order by December. They are 30 dollars!
Adelaide Zeeman who is on the yearbook committee said, “Everyone’s pictures will be in the yearbook. There’s a bunch of pages on sports. There will be a page on people’s favorite candy bars. There will be a page for most school clubs. And it’s gonna super epic! Upload any pictures of you and your friends to hjeshare.com to be featured in the yearbook!”
