Salem Jr. High counselors are committed to provide a safe and nurturing environment where all students can achieve their fullest academic and personal potential to successfully manage their lives as healthy, responsible, and competent people who respect themselves and others.  Our goal is for all students to be career and college ready by providing opportunities and information to research their interests and pathways to help them achieve their career goals.  ​

The mission of Salem Jr. High’s professional counseling department is to provide a comprehensive developmental counseling program for all students in grades 8 and 9.  We provide equitable access to maximize academic achievement, to foster personal and emotional growth, and to facilitate career development.  Our mission is to inspire all students to develop their individual potential to become life-long learners who are career and college ready and develop into productive, caring, and responsible citizens in our ever-changing world.
