Congratulations to Ben Blakesley, Parker Fillmore, and Alex Steinagel on their acceptance into the 2021-2022 Utah Junior High All-State Band. After submitting an audition video, Ben, Parker, and Alex were selected by audition judges to be officially invited to participate with only 110 students from around the state of Utah in this year's band. Students from over 60 schools auditioned to create this year's ensemble. Ben will be playing baritone saxophone, Parker will be on tenor saxophone, and Alex will play tenor saxophone and clarinet. Huge congratulations to Ben, Parker, and Alex for their hard work and reaching this milestone of being the first Salem Jr. High students ever to make it into the junior high all state ensemble.
The all state ensemble will perform on Friday January 14th at 7:00pm in Utah Symphony's Abravanel Hall in downtown Salt Lake City.
