Congratulations to Bailey Beardall and Austin Chrzanowski. Two of our Salem Junior High Students made the National Sources of Strength Peer Leader Advisory Council! The Peer Leader Advisory Council is a team of 25 Peer Leaders from across the country who meet to share their ideas and work collaboratively to tackle questions Sources teams and teens are facing today. They bring ideas back to improve our own Sources of Strength program!

Sources of Strength focuses on the following areas of strength: family, friends, mentors, healthy activities, generosity, spirituality, physical health and mental health. The program provides exceptional training and curriculum for youth and adults, utilizing a strength-based and upstream approach to mental health promotion and prevention of adverse outcomes like suicide, violence, bullying, and substance misuse.  Sources of Strength has a firm commitment to providing evidence-based programming that is responsive to local community context and needs.
