Track: Calling all athletes looking to participate in our Jr. High track team. Practices will start Monday Mar 14, 2022 at 2:15. Remember to have all registermyathlete.com and physicals filled out ready to go before practice. You will not be able to try out or practice without everything filled out and done.
Tennis: Boys Tennis will begin Monday Mar 14, 2022 on the Jr. High tennis courts at 3:00 pm. Remember to have all registermyathlete.com and physicals filled out ready to go before practice. You will not be able to try out or practice without everything filled out and done.
8th and 9th Grade Drill Clinics: Drill team clinics will be held this week. It's a great way to see what drill is about and what kinds of things you'll need to know for tryouts. This is for any 8th & 9th grader that is interested in being part of the Drill team when you get to Salem hills high. The clinics will be held on Tuesday, March 8th and Friday, March 11th in the morning at the high school from 6:00-7:30 am and Thursday, March 10th at the Jr. High after school 3:00-4:15 pm. You can pick up a tryout packet at these clinics or they will be available to pick in the office on Tuesday March 8th.
Cell Phones: Would you believe it if I told you that cell phone use might be problematic in a Jr. high school? We've recently seen an increase in cellphone use creating distractions and disruptions in classrooms. It's slightly preposterous. Please talk to your student about the importance of keeping their phones put away during class.
SHHS Drill Team Tryouts: SHHS Drill Team parent meeting will be held March 24th @ 7:00 pm in the high school choir room. Tryout clinic will be held April 12th and 13th 6:00-7:30 am in the high school main gym. April 14th open practice 6:00-7:30 am in the main gym and tryout check in 3:00 pm dance room, warm-ups 3:15 and judges tryouts 3:30.
Outstanding Teen: Miss Salem's Outstanding Teen Applications will be available in the front office until this Wednesday. Applications are due by this Thursday the 10th and can be dropped off at the front desk until the 9th. All applications submitted after the 9th will need to be dropped off at the city offices no later than 3pm on the 10th. School Lunch Menu: Here is the link to our lunch menu. Take a look to see what scrumptious foods are being prepared for our school. Thank you students for being patient, following the rules in the lunchroom, and cleaning up after yourselves! It helps our lunch ladies and custodians out.
Student Success Center: The Student Success Center in room 207 is available to assist students in reaching their academic goals. Students can scan the QR code below or use this link to fill out a form letting us know they would like some help. A student success tracker will meet with each student to work out a time for them to come in and get help.
