Substitutes Needed: Did you know that Nebo School District is not only the highest rated district in south Utah county but also the sixth-largest school district in the state with over 35,000 students? With over 4,500 employees in Nebo School District, there is ample opportunity for you to be a substitute teacher or technician.

If you like adolescents and have patience, substitute teaching just might be the perfect job for you. The daily rate starts at $85 a day. Nebo School District is partnered with EDUStaff for its substitute needs. Follow this link for more information.

School Lunch: Here is the link to our lunch menu. Take a look to see what delicious food is being made for our school. Thank you students for following the rules in the lunchroom and cleaning up after yourselves! It helps our lunch ladies and custodians be able to serve you better.

Monthly Social Media Contest: The Student Council is doing our monthly social media contest! This time, take a picture of something you are grateful for and direct message it on Instagram to the school account: SajhsSpartans! You will be entered into a drawing to win a prize!

School Dance: Hello students! Mark your calendar! Our next school dance will be our Christmas Dance on December 9th at 3:00 pm! You must have an S in your citizenship in all your classes so you can go to the dance! See you there!

Counseling Message:  Fear of Failure
In this week's episode of the EveryDay Strong podcast, we talk with therapist Derek Larsen about how perfectionism and past experiences can harm our children's abilities to perform well at school. Check it out now to see how you can become a safe space for your kids to fail and grow. Here's the link to the podcast!

Resource for Step Families: Did you know that one in three children currently live in a stepfamily? This includes many of the children within the Nebo school district. Utah State University's "Healthy Relationships Utah" has developed a program specifically for this underserved population and we'd love your help spreading the word. Smart Steps is a free, research-based curriculum that parents can attend virtually or in-person.

Throughout this course, facilitators teach evidence-based strategies on increasing family unity, empathy led discipline, family finances, strengthening the couple relationship, healthy co-parenting, and stress management. Stepfamilies face unique challenges but we're here to help. Follow link for more information.
