Mets could have Taken World Series- Editorial

The World Series was amazing this year. I am kind of feeling down this morning, because my Mets lost Sunday night, but congrats to the Kansas City Royals for being the 2015 World Series Champs.

Last night, the Royals were up 3 games to 1. The Mets had been ahead by 2 runs the majority of the game, but the Royals pulled ahead near the end. There was an amazing base run from third to home by Eric Hosmer of the Royals. The ball was hit toward third baseman David Wright, who did a double take to Hosmer then threw to 1st and got the out. While Hosmer ran in, the first baseman made a hurried throw to home which was to far left for the catcher to nab. If that throw had been good, the Mets could have had a double play.

Matt Harvey and Terry Collins are really the ones to blame for the Mets losing. Harvey had pitched a lot that game, but like all pitchers, Harvey needed to switch out. He didn’t want to go. Who would want to stop pitching in the World Series? The viewer could clearly see Harvey yelling at Terry Collins,(the Met’s head manager). Collins caved which was a disaster for the team. Then the whole incident with Hosmer happened. It was devastating. The final score was Kansas City Royals 7, New York Mets 2. The last time the Royals won a World Series it was in 1985.
