Our 9th graders were invited to Salem Hills for Freshman Day on March 4th. They started with an assembly where they met the administration and some lucky recipients even got the coveted SHHS socks! From there they ventured to the gym to explore clubs and activities they can join next year. The day ended with donuts and school tours. While Salem Jr. will be sad to see them go, these freshmen are looking forward to becoming Skyhawks! High school registration information will be coming home soon!

Pop Tab Drive

The National Junior Honors Society is sponsoring a Pop Tab drive at our school. This is a fundraising drive we have done for several years. The goal is to get as many of the little tabs on the tops of soda cans so we can send them to the Ronald McDonald House foundation. They recycle the pop tabs as use the money they receive to help fund their charity.

The freshman here at SaJHS have been invited to the high school on March 4th to learn about classes and clubs that they can join next year as sophomores. The high school always puts on a fun assembly with prizes and booths for all of the clubs and extracurricular activities. The plan is to take all of the 9th-grade students and walk to the high school, but they will need a signed permission slip to go. The permission slips have been sent out in an email, but students can pick up a new copy in the counseling office if they need to.
