Welcome back all Salem Junior High students! After a long and hot summer break, it is now time to return back to your school schedule! We welcome all of the 368 seventh graders who entered SAJHS this year and say goodbye to the 320 ninth graders who left our school to become very successful tenth graders. We are very excited for this school year, especially with our many new teacher. All of the teachers have many fascinating and exciting plans to keep out students involved in learning. We interviewed a couple of the new teachers to see what they are looking forward to teach their students this year. Mrs. Howard, one of the seventh grade English teachers, is looking forward to, “Help students find a book they enjoy reading and seeing their book projects throughout the year.” Mrs. Orahn, the girls Physical Education teacher, is looking forward to her cricket lesson with her students.

Also. this year there will be a new change in the schedule with Olympic time. At SAJHS Olympic time will be Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. For those who may not know, Olympic time is time students have between sixth and eighth period for intervention. They go to any class they may need, to work on any late or missing assignments, if you are caught up on all of your assignments you will be able to dig into a good book or do as your teacher instructs. You will be with this same seventh period class for the rest of your time at SAJHS to get to know many different people and possible friends in the future. We hope you enjoy your time here at Salem Junior High School!
