Student Spotlight- Sydney Ward

Salem Junior High has amazing students who have achieved many great accomplishments.  One of these students is Sydney Ward.  Sydney Ward is an eighth grade student who has published her own book that you can now buy online.  It is called “The Gummy Bear Chronicles”.  She say she wrote the book just for fun and because she loves to write.  She started writing her book in third grade and finally published it in Fifth grade.  When asked if she had published any other books she answered “No…...Not yet.”  She also loves to read and is currently reading the book “Saint Anything” by Sarah Dessen.  Outside of school, Sydney likes to read, draw, help other people, and create stuff.  She is currently a Board Member at the Salem Public Library and likes to plan fun activities.  Her favorite color is Green and she loves Panda’s, she says they’re like her “spirit animal”.  She likes all of the classes she is currently taking but her two main favorites are Spanish and Creative Writing. Salem Junior High is full of talented students.
