It’s only 6 and a half weeks until Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens comes out and it’s time to start the weekly Star Wars movie marathons. People will disagree on which order to watch them, but my family is starting with Episode 1 and ending with Episode 6. The prequels are hard to get through, but you got to watch them.

The Phantom Menace is based when Anakin Skywalker is 9 years old and meets two Jedi  who are dealing with some hyperdrive troubles following their issues with the Trade Federation. The Jedi go to Anakin’s slave master, Watto, to get parts for their ship. Watto is greedy and will only accept the Jedi’s ship in a gamble on a podrace that Anakin will take part in. Qui-Gon Jinn, the master jedi, feels something is different about Anakin. He tests him for midichlorians and finds out he has a high count. There is a big fight in the end with gungans and battle droids. I don’t want to spoil anything, but Anakin saves the day.

It is a good movie, but if I had to rate it 1 to 6 it would be a 5. It just had these moments where the plot was boring. For example, the pod race got old after 5 min. Another thing that doesn’t work is the dialogue. Everyone knows Anakin turns into Darth Vader, the baddest bad guy ever. He wouldn’t say, “Yippeeee!” like little “Annie” said. In all the movie is good and I encourage everyone to see it before Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens comes out on Dec. 18.
