SaJHS is currently performing Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man Junior". There are two performances left: Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m. Cost is $4 for general admission, $3 for students, and $20 for a family pass.

The first two performances were a smashing success. The play is directed by SaJHS drama teacher JanaLee Stubbs. Stubbs has received some great compliments on the show. To list a few: "It was quality you'd expect at the high school level", and "It's amazing not just that it's acted by students, but that the tech is also run by students. That's a complicated show, and they did very well with it." About Kiele Lee who plays Harold Hill, someone commented, "That guy can sing!"

P.E./Health teacher Brooke Renslow said, "It is so amazing how much talent the students have! It was so enjoyable watching them perform and execute all of their skills! I absolutely loved the show!!!!"

Art teacher Lisa Magnusson said, "I loved the play!  The Music Man is one of my favorite musicals and Salem Junior High students did not disappoint!  I was especially impressed with the fun energy of the whole cast and the high quality of singing.  This is a play that the whole family will enjoy.

I think it's great that not just drama students were involved in the production.  Students made up the tech crew and ran the lights, sound, and managed all the props.  Art students painted the backdrop and sets. Everyone involved did a great job!"Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to see a great show!
