Band Students on Bus 2.76 MB

On April 8, Salem Jr. High Concert Band had the opportunity to enjoy a band festival at Snow College in Ephraim. Several famous directors and composers such as Jack Stamp and David Blackington presided at this festival. After driving down by bus, they got to watch different high school bands perform, and later performing themselves. To improve on their skills, they participated in a personal clinic with Jack Stamp, famous band director and composer at Indiana University in Pennsylvania, who helped us become better musicians. After eating and chilling at Walmart for an hour, the students actually got a free ticket to a band concert performed by the Snow College students, with some of their songs directed and composed by Jack Stamp himself. This was an amazing, inspiring, and educating experience for our students. We hope we can continue this tradition every year for the sake of experience and inspiration.
