SaJHS sent nearly 30 students to the intramural weightlifting competition at Diamond Fork Jr. High on Feb 19. Students attempted to lift a set weight as many times as they could, achieve the best time, or jump the highest. Events included bench press, military press, leg press, pull ups, vertical jump, and shuttle run. What was most impressive was that even though our students were competing against students from other schools they were still cheering them on to do better. It was a really great atmosphere. We are also proud of our student athletes who placed in their respective weight classes. Conner Campbell got 3rd in 100 and below, Jaxon Vantassel got 3rd in 110-130, and Brandon Griffeths got 2nd after multiple tie breakers in 170 and above.
